Responsive Web Design
26th June 2017
Recently we have been making lots of websites responsive, or as Google phrases it, mobile friendly. This is like creating 3 websites in one really. We design and build a website that is optimised for being used on a mobile phone or a tablet as well as the full desktop monitor sized.
It has been fun revisiting some of our original websites and upgrading them. It’s important to have the user in mind and to think about how the website might be experienced. We are so instant these days, if something frustrates online we’re out of there!
This is Mactech, we designed a simple and easy to navigate website for our client who is a wiz with all things Apple.
For Trewithen restaurant there were quite a few elements to consider. Image animations, editable menus, testimonials, suppliers and events, so we created a design that flows easily from one device to the next. We also created their brand, Emma loved getting to draw umpteen forks!
Celtic Construction’s website (pictured above) uses video as well as case studies to show the scope of projects they are renowned for. Our design was bold and modular, easily laid out so you can access what you need.
For the Cornish Garden Team website we wanted to keep that feeling of tranquility using soft greens with beautiful images. We used large round buttons so people could navigate with ease. Their site also had an editable gallery which needed to work well on every platform.
This is The Towans, New England style lodges on the north Cornish coast. Our website has an availability checker and pages for the individual lodges all with galleries and symbols.
We pride ourselves on creating websites that represent our clients well. Design is personal and we work hard to give our clients beautiful websites that are easy to use. If you need your website up-dating, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
