Art That Cleans The Air
24th August 2020
What a brilliant idea, Converse City Forests aims to produce street art that has the cleaning power of 3,000 trees. Amazingly this is totally possible, the paint used for these murals actually filters the air. One piece of art, like this one in Warsaw, Poland, has the cleaning power of 780 trees.
Teaming up with local artists, here that was Dawid Ryski and Maciek Polak, the project creates street art that adds beauty and interest to urban spaces while the smart paint cleans the air. The photocatalytic paint is activated by light and breaks down pollutants turning them into harmless nitrates, which in turn improves air quality.
Smart! In collaboration with Good Looking Studio, see more at My Modern Met.
