Beautiful Recycled Charger
23rd July 2019
Chinese studio Bentu have cleverly re-purposed a waste product I had never really considered before, into something beautiful. These flat, silky and pastel-perfect slabs are wireless charges for X10 phones and are made from reclaimed cement and quartz stone aggregate.
The fresh youthful colours make this piece of technology a joy to be around, but when it does come to the end of its life it can also be recycled.
Terrazzo is a brilliant way to go really, apart from being lovely to look at and bang on trend, it cleverly uses waste product in useful and stylish way. It’s lovely to see something not so reliant on plastics in the electrics industry.
The randomness of the patterns just add to the uniqueness!
Bento wanted to create a product that could come from nature and eventually return to it. See more at Eclectic Trends.
